Fijian women leave for NZ under RSE scheme

12:11 pm on 14 September 2017

Fifteen women leave Fiji today to join New Zealand's Recognized Seasonal Employer (RSE) scheme.

FBC reported the women would be in New Zealand for four months picking strawberries and blueberries for Turners & Growers NZ Limited.

Of the fifteen, nine were returning workers and six were selected for the first time through the National Employment Centre.

The deputy secretary of the Ministry of Employment, Vilimone Baledrokadroka, has urged the group to work together as a team and to act as ambassadors for Fiji.
