Kiribati launches anti-corruption strategy

The Kiribati government has launched its first ever National Anti-Corruption Strategy.

President Taneti Maamau said the strategy reaffirmed his government's commitment to the fight against corruption in government and civil society.

Mr Maamau said it also encompasses the National Development Bank.

He said the strategy was a milestone in the history of Kiribati and would make it a champion of anti-corruption in the Pacific.
