Sport: Argentina retain Americas Pacific Challenge title

Argentina has retained the World Rugby Americas Pacific Challenge after crushing Uruguay A 82-7 to finish unbeaten in Monte Video.

The South Americans were imperious over the past fortnight, racking up 238 points in three matches, against Canada A, Samoa A and the host nation.

Meanwhile Tonga A finished on a winning note, outscoring their Samoan counterparts five tries to four to prevail 31-28.

The Tongans lost their opening match against Uruguay A 34-25 before beating Canada A 31-15.

Samoa opened with a comprehensive 48-26 victory over the USA Select XV before being outclassed 85-14 by eventual champions Argentina.

Tonga A ended the competition on a winning note against their Pacific rivals.
