He was speaking following the death of journalist Rosalyn Albaniel Evara, allegedly from injuries sustained from domestic violence.

Mr Baki welcomed the decision by Ms Evara's family for a post mortem to be conducted, saying this will determine the next course of action for police.

He said police were now investigating the death following the social media outcry.

Mr Baki said family, friends and colleagues and even strangers must intervene.

He said police were also duty bound to take action.

Mr Baki called for an end to domestic violence by speaking up and taking action before it's too late.
