Sport: Jerry Tuwai appointed Fiji 7s captain

Jerry Tuwai has been appointed captain of the Fiji men's sevens team for the upcoming season.

The Olympic gold medallist, who takes over the reins from long-time skipper Osea Kolinisau, has scored 71 tries in 149 World Series matches since making his debut in 2014.

He will lead a group that includes fellow Olympians Apisai Domolailai, Jasa Veremalua and Vatemo Ravouvou.

Fijian Drua captain John Stewart has also earned a call-up from head coach Gareth Baber for the opening two legs of the World Series in Duvai and Cape Town next month, alongside fellow new caps Apenisa Cakaubalavu and Eroni Sau.
