Much of Fiji remains drenched after two cyclones and other storms since the start of this month.

But more rain is on the way with a heavy rain warning is in place for the Yasawa Group, Vanua Levu, Taveuni, the Northern Lau Group and the east and interior of Viti Levu.

The Fiji Met Service said rain becoming frequent and heavy with squally thunderstorms could be expected over these areas from tonight.

Up to 100mm of rain could fall in some areas, it said.

There is a medium to high risk of flash flooding while there may be high tides of up to about two metres this weekend, the Met Service said.
