Two men are being held by Niue police after a violent altercation, during which guns were fired, yesterday morning in the village of Tuapa.

The island's police commander, Tony Edwards, said both men had minor gunshot injuries and one of them was still under observation at the island's hospital.
Mr Edwards said there was also minor damage to two vehicles.
He said no arrests had yet been made but police have started a full investigation into the incident.
