The governor of the Northern Marianas has issued the all clear for Saipan, Tinian, and Rota after Tropical Storm Maria moved away.

The storm damaged the power system on Rota, forced the closure of government offices, caused flights to be cancelled, and minor flooding on the three islands.

It also forced the cancellation of the Liberation Day parade.

Emergency shelters were also opened for a time.

The territory's emergency management agency says there have been no reports of injury or private property damage.
