A woman from Papua New Guinea's Manus province has been given a six year jail sentence for misappropriating public funds.
Tracey Tiran was found by the National Court to have conspired with National Planning officials to misuse US$150,000 intended for a coconut processing project.
According to Loop PNG, the project was never established.
The money was used in 2011 when the jailed former MP Paul Tiensten was National Planning Minister.
Tiensten was later convicted of misappropriation of funds over US$3 million concerning a separate venture, and sentenced to nine years in jail.
Both his and Tiran's cases were originally investigated by the anti-corruption unit Taskforce Sweep which was disbanded by PNG's government in 2014.
