Sara Vui-Talitu is a senior journalist who has been covering Pacific issues both domestically and abroad for over a decade. She has an in-depth knowledge of the region and received a prestigious Qantas Media award for her work in the Pacific.
Her reporting interests include issues such as politics, environment, women, business and health. She completed her postgraduate diploma in journalism at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch and has an academic background with a Master of Arts and Master of Creative Writing from the University of Auckland. She has also contributed to various publications as a creative writer and a university journalism lecturer, and taken part in various media panels and workshops.
Of Samoan descent, Sara has also worked in television and newspapers, but decided to return to RNZ because she loves reporting on Pacific stories and travelling around the region.
