A memorial trust to continue the vision of a former New Zealand prime minister has provided thousands of scholarships, grants and awards to people in New Zealand and the Pacific in the 42 years since his death.

The Norman Kirk Memorial Trust was established two years after Mr Kirk died in office in 1974.
