Cooks in the black after tourism surge

The Cook Islands Government's operating balance is in the black on the back of record growth in tourist arrivals.

The Finance Minister, Mark Brown, says a surge in visitors over the past six months has resulted in a $US5.1 million dollar operating surplus.

And he told Don Wiseman that the numbers reached their highest levels in the last three months of the financial year.
