NZ mental health services called on to adapt

Increasingly Pacific people in New Zealand are trying to negotiate issues like culture, identity and poverty in their struggle with mental illness.

Health services have been called on to adapt their practices to suit, while those in distress are looking to draw strength from their family heritage, but avoid cultural pitfalls that can ensnare simultaneously.

In this report from Koro Vaka'uta some names have been changed to protect their identities.
