Video format helps young Papuans tell their story

A video-based advocacy organisation is helping young West Papuans tell their own stories which have been unheard for too long.

Papuan Voices was established in 2011 in collaboration with  non-profit media, technology and culture organisation EngageMedia, and the Justice and Peace unit in the archdiocese of Merauketo.

Its aim to teach Papuans video production and distribution skills to tell their own stories about everyday issues such as struggles for education, saving the environment, equality and rights.
