A Fiji civil society group is angry it was stopped from presenting its full submission on controversial legislation it says is punitive and should be re-written.

The Fiji government is promoting clause 24 of the Parliamentary Powers and Privileges bill with the aim of punishing those who demean, defame or undermine the sanctity of parliament.

The chairman of Pacific Dialogue, Jone Dakuvula, told Don Wiseman what his group thinks is wrong with the legislation and he began by describing how he was shut down at parliament.
