Tonga to upgrade disaster management systems

Tonga's government is to spend $US25 million on upgrading its disaster management systems.

The deputy prime minister Siaosi Sovaleni says the money will be spent over the next three years.

Refurbishing Met Service offices on the outer islands will be included in the project.

Mr Sovaleni told Koro Vaka'uta why the upgrade is needed.
