Paradise Papers expose Pacific tax havens

An Australian academic says it is too early to tell what kind of impact the release of the Paradise Papers will have on the four Pacific nations so far involved.

Griffith University Adjunct Senior Lecturer, Anthony van Fossen, says two Marshall Islands shipping companies have been linked with Russian leaders by the leak.

He told Jenny Meyer tax havens in the Cook Islands, Samoa and to a lesser extent Vanuatu, may also be affected by the activities of Asiaciti Trust and its clients.
