Appeal likely in pesticide lawsuit on Kauai in Hawaii

A judge has ruled in favour this month of an agribusiness pesticide operation after a group of locals on the Hawaiian island of Kauai filed a lawsuit citing environmental concerns.

The issue has been an ongoing point of contention and locals say their coastal island environment is being poisoned by the company's high use of restricted chemicals on genetically modified crops and they it to undergo an environmental review enforceable by law.
