Sugar town adapts in Fiji rains

It's a struggle for businesses in Rakiraki, one of the towns in Fiji's sugar cane belt frequently inundated by heavy rain.

It flooded again during the massive downpours associated with this month's cyclones.

Shopowners and their workers have had to adapt.

The Chamber of Commerce estimated the town had lost about two million Fijian dollars so far this year.

Sally Round caught up with Anujka Prasad, a shopkeeper at one of Rakiraki's general stores and asked her how they cope.
