Radio New Zealand is looking for an experienced journalist to work as a bulletin editor shaping news bulletins on the country’s highest-rating radio station.
Working collaboratively with the wider news team, you will enjoy the challenge of tight deadlines, and be able to combine accuracy, attention to detail and creative flair to make each bulletin sound fresh.
Along with an excellent command of English usage, grammar and vocabulary, you will be committed to high quality, impartial journalism and have a broad knowledge of national and international current affairs.
You will have sound editorial judgement honed by considerable sub-editing or reporting, and while radio experience is preferred, it is not essential. What is essential is that you are self-motivated and able to work well under pressure to meet demanding deadlines.
This position is based in Wellington and involves shift work.
Applications close: 5 pm Friday 24 February 2012
