I once saw a man trying to exercise an overweight Labrador. But the dog didn’t want to chase a ball, or even run. The man told me it had been stolen by a man who ran a takeaway bar. When the owner found him again after two months, the dog was very (very) fat … And I thought, What a good story that would make …
These stories are about animals, and people, who are not ordinary. They are monsters in their own way, which makes them irritating and interesting, and great to write about.
