Jewel Dell left Napier more than 60 years ago to train as a ballet teacher in Auckland – love intervened and she became a farmer’s wife. Today the 80-year-old is still farming on a property that has been in her late husband’s family for more than a century.
Also this week: Cooks Beach farmers Selma and Graham Morcom run a conventional beef operation but have chosen to go organic on their commercial avocado orchard.
