Over her 20 years with Radio New Zealand, Lynn's job descriptions have ranged from Chief Reporter in Dunedin, Senior Producer Morning Report, Executive Producer Nine to Noon, feature/documentary maker, and since June 2001, Producer of Sunday Morning with Chris Laidlaw and Presenter of the arts show, What's Going On.

Both Sunday Morning and What’s Going On have won Qantas Awards. Lynn also picked up a few for current affairs arts reporting, and her 14 part series Encore, telling the story of theatre in New Zealand, was a major winner.

Lynn is also the theatre critic for Capital Times in Wellington and a judge in the city's annual Chapman Tripp Theatre Awards.

In 2007 Lynn travelled to Tanzania and Kenya. While in Africa she produced the three part documentary On Safari.
