Noelle McCarthy is Irish. Her first experience of summer was in New Zealand at the age of 24, and after three months of continuous sunshine, she changed her name to Summer Noelle and was hired by Radio New Zealand to present their holiday radio show. She moved home to Ireland last year, but has since returned to host a fifth season of Summer Noelle. The decision to return was not a difficult one. Current temperature in Cork City is  5°C.
