Tim Graham

Tim Graham won his first on-air gig as a prize, as a 16-year-old, with the music station 92.2XSFM in Palmerston North.

After studying postgraduate journalism, Tim began as an intern with Radio New Zealand News in 2008.

He has since covered elections, earthquakes, movie premieres, military funerals, royal visits and some of the country's most high-profile criminal cases.

Tim was named individual radio journalist of the year at the 2011 New Zealand Radio Awards for his work as Radio New Zealand’s justice reporter. He is now one of Radio New Zealand's political reporters, based at the parliamentary press gallery.

Tim has presented two Summer Reports and has enjoyed spending time on the water, behind the BBQ and tripping round the countryside recording stories for Summer Report.
