In the 1980s, Auckland punk outfit No Tag amassed a loyal following of punks and skinheads. They also achieved acclaim with No Tag - Oi Oi Oi, their EP which peaked at No.15 in the NZ Singles Chart in September 1982 before the band headed overseas.

Next month, No Tag are reforming for a one-off Auckland performance, with The Spelling Mistakes and guests in support.

Ahead of the show, Trevor Reekie talks to No Tag co-founder Andrew Boak about the band’s brand of politically-charged punk.
