2:10  The Traveller -   Lee Abbamonte

The bold way Lee  Abbamonte lives his life is motivated by a Mark Twain quote "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do."
He'll never have to say he regrets not visiting some remarkable places around the world. At the age 34, he's set to become the youngest American to visit every country around the globe.
So far he's been to 306 of  the 321 countries, territories and regions defined by the Travelers' Century Club... a club for globetrotters.

2:20  Doctor Who - Neil Cross

A campaign is underway to convince producers to shoot a couple of episodes of Doctor Who in New Zealand.   Matt Smith, who currently plays the role of the Time Lord, says he will campaign endlessly to have an episode or two of the much loved BBC series filmed here. British writer Neil Cross, who created the pyschological drama series, Luther, has written two episodes of Doctor Who.  He lives in Wellington and and he's put his hand up to write any episodes filmed in New Zealand.

3:10 Tune Your Engine - 'Spin' in media reports of scientific articles - Isabelle Boutron.
Politicians  are famous for it...  PR Spin... ..interpreting information in a certain way to persuade public opinion one way or another.  No surprise. We expect it from them, but we don't expect it from scientists.
But a new study that looked at 70 press releases about clinical trials shows that half contain spin.
Isabelle Boutron from the Universite Paris Descartes in Paris conducted the study, and talks with Jim Mora.

3:33 Asian Report - Cantonese Opera - Lynda Chanwai-Earle
Ever wondered where Shakespeare got the idea to write Romeo and Juliet? Tragic love stories have been around for a couple thousand years in China, eventually travelling to New Zealand along with the early sojourners from Canton, now known as Guandongsang in Southern China. Lynda 's meeting the group behind Cantonese Opera in Wellington to find out exactly where Shakespeare may have got his inspiration.

4:06 The Panel - Michèle A'Court and Sir Bruce Slane.
The PM's announced the GCSB enquiry that the Greens have been pressing for. The Catholics are holding their ground, the other mainstream churches are seeing their flocks disappear.  Revisiting the seismology of Canterbury. The more you stamp out cigarettes, the more rebelliously cool they get. NZ's favourite ABBA song. ABBA seem to be outlasting even the Beatles in popularity.
