Walter Wants a Woman – the name of the web series says it all really. We follow Walter, a late 20-something who's just moved out of home, as he diaries his ups and downs of dating. Actually it's probably more downs than ups, but that translates into comedy gold. On a whim the director of the series, Rachel Choy, entered Walter into a number of festivals overseas and just found out they had won a comedy prize at the LA Web Series festival.

The Football World Cup is starting in less than 80 days and while football fever might be building in Brazil, it's also heating up in a South Island town. Football fanatic Stuart Cushing saw an opportunity to get Timaru into the spirit and has organised a football tournament to coincide with the Fifa World Cup. He's the founder of the New Zealand chapter of the the Tottenham Hotspurs fan club and he's so into the World Cup that he even ordered a replica trophy for everyone to enjoy.
