2:10 The Projectionist - Russell Campbell
Retired projectionist, Russell Campbell is to re-live the 'good old days' at movie screenings next Wednesday night at Dunedin's Regent Theatre. The show will start with the original Queens coronation anthem, and include old newsreels, a silent newsreel made locally in the 1920s, and some New Zealand pictorial parades. Just as they did many years ago. The showing is at the Regent on April 16 at 5.45pm.
2:20 The Four-year-old BMX Stars - Steve Riddle: They may only be four years old but a pair of Queenstown twins are creating a buzz on the internet - and around the world - with their impressive BMX skills.
At the moment there is more than 150,000 thousand hits on the youtube video of Jake and Theo Riddle playing - or should that be 'performing' - at skate parks around New Zealand. The video has also been picked up by a British newspaper, which is featuring what it calls the "fearless exploits of New Zealand twins Jake and Theo, as they pelt around various BMX tracks demonstrating skills which belie their tender years."
The video was filmed around the country by the twins parents Steve and Emma on their summer holiday.
