1:25 Eight Months to Mars - Auckland author, Ben Sanders.

2:10 The Battle of Gate Pa - Buddy Mikaera:  Today marks an historic occasion on The Bay of Plenty's calendar... It's the eve of the Battle of Gate Pa.. which happened in Tauranga 150 years ago. The battle between the British and Maori was a significant event in New Zealand history. 100 imperial British soldiers were killed or wounded in the battle,  and it was recorded as one of the worst defeats for the British.
Preparations for the anniversary have been two years in the planning and tonight a commemoration dinner will take place, just as it did 150 years ago, when a dinner was held for the British officers prior to the battle.

2:20 The British Classic Car - Peter Bailey:  It's probably fair to say that every car enthusiast has a love/hate relationship with the object of their affection..and so it is for Peter Bailey and his 1951 Jowett Javelin.
He's a relatively recent convert to the British-made Jowett, but a background in aircraft engineering has helped him appreciate some of the more unique features of this unique car.

2:30 Reading:  Brian Turner, award winning poet, relates tales of fishing, friendship and foolhardy trips into the wilds of the Otago region. . . all seasoned with disarmingly honest commentary on his fellow man and the way we treat one another and our world.
