2:20  Iraq - Pete Kara

Tomorrow, Prime Minister John Key will outline our contribution to international efforts against IS in Iraq. One man with experience on the ground in Iraq is Pete Kara. He was a specialist advisor to the United Nations in the 1990s looking for weapons of mass destruction following the Gulf War. He went on to become a health and safety specialist for the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize Certificate in 2013, for his work as a chemical weapons inspector.

Seven years ago,  a Swiss philosopher and curator from the Tate Modern started a school in London to teach people how to live a good life, find fulfilling work and maintain good relationships.  The classes are designed for professionals who may have left the classroom years ago.  Now there are branches around the world, including one in Melbourne. 3:30 Yellow-eyed Penguin Trust.  Alison Ballance.  In the 25 years since it was formed the Yellow-eyed Penguin Trust has seen the Otago and Southland populations of yellow-eyed penguins recover from an almost devastating low only to plunge again in recent breeding seasons. Alison Ballance joins Sue Murray and David McFarlane at one of the Trust's nature reserves on the Otago Peninsula, to hear about the highs and lows of conserving this iconic seabird.
