Whale Numbers Could Be On The Rise - Nadine Bott

Every year a team of dedicated whale spotters heads out into the Cook Strait to conduct the annual Whale Project Survey. It's been running now for ten years to assess whale recovery in our oceans since commercial whaling was banned in 1964. The four-week survey was recently completed and the results of the survey seem to suggest that the Humpback Whale population is slowly on the rise.
