From Jesse Mulligan, 1–4pm, 1:25 pm on 18 August 2014

The British Overseas Airways Corporation's de Havilland Comet 4 touched down at Whenuapai at 4pm on April 4th. The Mangare International airport was still three years from opening and all air traffic serving Auckland shared the RNZAF base.
