Kevin Boyce

We often hear about a teacher that inspires a student, but what about a pupil inspiring their teacher? In 1972, young Christchurch teacher Kevin Boyce taught his Glenmoor primary school class about the Christmas day truce of the First World War. A nine-year-old girl in the class wrote a poem, and wrote it so well that for more than 40 years Kevin Boyce has kept a copy of it. Recently he put the poem to music and entering it into a music competition while he was working in Nauru. He's keen to track down his former pupil, who would by now be in her early 50s.
