Our Bookmarks guest this week grew up on a farm in Australia but his life took an unexpected turn when he discovered Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music.
From that point Stuart Maunder always wanted to be on stage. Even while studying Law he was treading the boards until the Australian Opera offered him a position as a trainee assistant stage manager.
He quit university and has since traveled the world indulging in his passion for music and dance. For almost three years he's been General Director at New Zealand Opera whose production of "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" moves to Christchurch next week.
