Doing Medium Density Well

The arguments about Auckland's Unitary Plan are almost over. Auckland has decided to go with intensification and more medium density terrace housing and apartments. So it's critical that we do it well. The University of Auckland's twice-annual talk series, Fast Forward, aims to foster debate, discussion and development within the disciplines of architecture, urban planning and urban design. And the upcoming series, asks how can we do medium density well? Bill McKay is a senior lecturer at the School of Architecture and Planning, University of Auckland.
