Donald Trump has confirmed he will withdraw the US from the Paris climate change agreement. Saying the agreement disadvantaged the United States, and that he hoped to seek "a better deal". University of Canterbury political scientist, Associate Professor Bronwyn Hayward, is a lead author on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Special Report. She's packing to leave for the meetings in the UK, about how to achieve the objectives agreed in Paris, and limit the world's global warming increase to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
