The Biennial Zonta Science Award was handed out last night to plant systematist Dr Jessie Prebble.
The award was established in 1990 to support and encourage kiwi women in science.
She tells us more about the work she does now at Manaaki Whenua Landcare Research, and how she plans on using her prize money.
