The New Zealand Innocence Project, a joint venture between Victoria University and the University of Otago, investigates possible miscarriages of justice. Matthew Gerrie leads the project, and is interested in how well witnesses remember the details of a crime scene. Ruth Beran meets with him to find out how well she can pick out a criminal from a line-up, and in the process gets an eye test with a difference.
