World Trade Center

From Jesse Mulligan, 1–4pm, 2:20 pm on 16 July 2010

Archaeologists have made an amazing discovery near the site of the World Trade Centre in Lower Manhattan - the remains of an 18th century ship. The ground had not been disturbed by the 2001 terrorist attack. Workers were excavating the ground for a new parking garage for the buildings that will replace the Twin Towers. We talk to Molly MacDonald, one of the archaeologists hired to document artefacts discovered at the site.
