Education needs to be a priority for Maori and that's why Rotorua elder Te Rangipuawhe Maika has agreed to chair the kaumatua council of one of NZ's largest tertiary institutions. Ana Tapiata talks with Te Rangipuawhe about the reasons Te Wananga o Aotearoa started its elders council.
