Your Place - Little River

A village today, tucked away in a narrow valley on state Highway 75 - the Christchurch to Akaroa road. Early last century the population in this part of Banks Peninsula numbered around 3,000 with employment in half a dozen timber mills and the widespread harvesting of Fescue Cocksfoot grasses.
