Kaukapakapa is in the former Rodney district, north of Auckland. It's a place divided. A flood plain separates the business end of the town from the rest, where the majority of local residents live. With greater Auckland's population expected to exceed two and a half million in the next forty years, it's also a town with a rapidly changing identity.
