The Liggins Institute is best known for uncovering a connection between a mother's diet and the later health of her child. Conditions such as obesity and diabetes are partly triggered in the womb, and latest research shows that these early influences are far bigger than expected - but not irreversible. Veronika Meduna joined scientists and staff as they celebrated their first decade at the institute.
