Kaimai cheese

The renowned boutique Waikato cheesery, the Kaimai Cheese Company, is in financial difficulty, after the dairy giant Fonterra took it all the way to the Supreme Court. The issue dates back four years, when Fonterra threatened to cut Kaimai's milk supply because it wasn't meeting one of the co-operative's rules - that no part of its operation could be contracted out.
