Our Changing World - X-ray Scanner

A Christchurch father-and-son research team is developing an X-ray scanner that would make diagnosing medical conditions more accurate, faster and cheaper. University of Canterbury physicist Phil Butler and his son Anthony Butler, a radiologist at Christchurch hospital, are using a full-colour X-ray detector that was initially developed for high-energy physics to add a new tool to medical imaging.
