This Queen's Birthday weekend, the streets of Oamaru will be filled with people dressed up in clothes vaguely reminiscent of those from the era of Queen Victoria. It's the 3rd annual Oamaru Steampunk festival - Steampunk is described as Victorian science fiction, and the North Otago town is considered the steampunk capital of New Zealand. Fans of the genre will be decending on the Victorian town for three days of events including a fashion show and a Gala ball. Jim talks to Helen Jansen, also known as Lady Steampunk, who is the festival organizer.
