Olympic Truck

From Afternoons, 3:42 pm on 27 July 2012

It may be as close as any of us come to Olympic glory... the New Zealand Olympic Committee is sending an 18 metrre long 28 tonne truck around the country with high tech interactive digital displays of some of our greatest Olympic moments. The Samsung Experience Truck also has onboard some Olympic memorabilia like the shoes Peter Snell wore to train for the 1964 Tokyo Olympics and Valerie Adams' shotput. As the 2012 Olympic games open tomorrow morning, the Truck will be in Startford and then Hawera on Sunday. Helen Fullerton is the truck hostess and she's traveling the country with the Olympic experience.
