Kea Repellant

From Afternoons, 2:10 pm on 21 September 2012

Anyone who's parked a car in a rest stop at Arthur's Pass or the Porter Heights ski area is probably familiar with the "clown of the mountains"... the kea. Keas will strip rubber off cars, eat lead-laced flashings off buildings, and have even been known to peck holes in sheep for a meal of fat. The Kea Conservation Trust is working on a kea repellant that can be sprayed on cars and even sheep to keep the mountain parrots away.
