The captain responsible for the wreck of the container ship Rena has apologised to New Zealanders for causing an environmental disaster - and then trying to cover up his role. Wallabies first-five Quade Cooper says he won't play for Australia unless changes are made to the "toxic" environment surrounding the team. The Labour Party is requesting a wide-ranging and independent inquiry into what it calls the serious failures within the Government's intelligence services.
